If I dyed my hair 2 weeks ago, will it cause damage to recolor it again?

I am not happy with the color.

It won't damage it to color it again. I wouldn't suggest coloring it multiple times in a day or less but after 2 weeks your hair will be just fine.

It is usually not advisable for someone to dye their again within two weeks from a previous dye treatment. Your hair has already been slightly weakened due to the chemical changes cause by the inital dye. To dye that quickly could cause many problems.

It depends if you're depositing color or lifting color. If you're depositing color (making it darker) you should be ok. Do not lighten it that soon though.

Hair dye is a chemical which inevitably causes damage to your hair. The damage can be limited if you take care of your hair. You want to remove as much of the chemicals from the previous dye job by washing your hair 2-3 times a day for about 2 days before recoloring. Your new color will show better.

You should really wait a month at least before re-coloring your hair. Otherwise you will end up with damaged hair and a lot of breakage.

I would not recommend dying your hair again so soon. Recoloring your hair after only two weeks would be damaging to your hair. You can try shampooing your hair several times in a row to try to get the color to wash out quicker. Good luck!
