I want to hook up two PS3s to the internet. Do I need a router?

A router is the best choice. Share the connection with a modem through a computer isn't a good idea. You can buy a wifi router so the ps3s can be placed away from it.

Unless you have a computer or something else you wanna connect to the internet with then no. You can hook it directly to you PS3 and browse the web. A router is only need if you need the need to share the internet between a couple items.

Each PS3 will need to have a internet card, that usually cost about $99, and yes you will need a router to make the signal available for wireless devices.

You can hook up two PS3s to the internet by wiring them into your network but to do that you have to have a wired router that gives you more cat5 ports to hook into. If you want to go wireless you have to have a wireless router and a wireless receiver for each PS3.
