I have a presentation to give, and I am shaking and nervous. How can I use psychology to help myself?

You can just tell yourself that this is just a presentation. That you only have to do this for right now and that you know what you are talking about. You are prepared and have done the research. Don't think about the negative outcomes, just focus on getting through with the presentation.

Just keep telling yourself that it's okay. Do something that makes you feel confident before giving the presentation. Going into it confident will make it go easier.

Use relaxation techniques like the systematic desensitization. Behaviorists use this for dealing with phobias. Doing deep breathing techniques will help calm you down.

This is partly a biochemical reaction. Use some of the adrenalin by pushing on a wall or pushing your hands together. Channel your energy into the presentation by reviewing your main points, knowing you are well-prepared, and promising yourself a special reward for doing a good job.
