I have a knot under my knee, what is that?

If this is a hard amount of tissue running vertical it could be the patella tendon. This is a hard bunch of tissue that holds the kneecap in place and extends the knee. It is nothing to be concerned about unless it is very painful or if there is swelling or loss of mobility.

This can be many different things including a "knot" in a muscle, large bruise, or a fluid filled cyst. Wait a few days to see if it resolves.
