I have a 2003 Audi TT Roadster 1.8T and after changing the trunk light I had a short circuit by a stupid mistake. How can I fix it?

This could be as simple as changing a blown fuse. It really depends on exactly what is malfunctioning. I suggest going to Autozone and having them hookup an OBD scanner to your car for free to see what, if any, codes are reading. Really though, you need a mechanic.

The power and ground wires to many auxiliary lamps are exposed. In handling the trunk light fixure, you likely scraped the positive lead on a metal surface, removing insulation and causing the short. Check the wires for frays or holes in the insulation.

Your question isn't very clear. If you just had a short circuit then the light can be fixed by replacing the bulb.

Open the trunk, pull the liner back in the side were the light bulb. Try pumping on the gas to force more ignition in take, or replace the spark plug as this is probably the root cause.Even consider letting it sit and run a few minutes before take it out.

Your best bet would be to take it in to a licensed mechanic. The Audi line of cars can be very difficult to work on.

You will have to find where the fault is at and correct it. It sounds like you may allready know what you did, reverse what ever you did wrong.
