I donated blood then got a letter that they can't use my blood. What does that mean?

Should I call someone?

This can be for any number of reasons. You could have a genetic anomaly or perhaps you are sick. Usually they will explain why but it would be a good idea to perhaps see your family doctor for a check up.

The letter should tell you why they cannot use the blood. This may not be a problem; the blood may have not been collected or preserved properly, for example. The more troubling possibility is that they found a disease, in which case you need to see you doctor.
