The RCA cable has three different channels, Yellow (Video), White & Red (Audio). Connect only the yellow cable to the TV and plug the White and Red into the home theater system.

The RCA cable has red, white and yellow connectors. The red (right) and white (left) are for audio. Connect those to your home theater receiver's input.

Most home theater systems also have RCA style inputs on the back. Check the back of the home theater "amplifier" for these inputs.

If the karaoke player has a second rca jack you could connect it that way. If that isn't the case there are manual switches out there that offer (usually) four rca slots to work with.

If the Karaoke is connected to the TV, and the TV is connected directly to the home theater, then you should be able to use the karaoke with the home theater by turning it to the TV setting and by running it the way that you would anything else.
