I cannot find the EGR valve on a Dodge Ram 1500. Where is it?

The EGR valve is located in a very hard to reach area on Dodge Ram pickups. Carefully looking behind the back of the engine on the driver's side you will note the exhaust manifold, the EGR valve is hiding behind the exhaust manifold.

Not knowing the year I can't say exactly where on your truck. It looks like it should be located somewhere at the back on the engine in the center.

It is on the back on the driver side behind the intake manifold if it is equipped on your vehicle.

The EGR valve holds the truck cabin and the bed together. The Ram 1500 allows the owner to replace the bed with a smaller or larger size, depending on his needs. If the valve hasn't been opened in some time, you may need a monkey wrench.
