I would do nothing. Ask the nursery what steps you can take to counteract it. They might also say nothing.

You just have to give plenty of water to help get rid of chemicals and wait. If area is brown and dead, you can patch it up with a product like PatchMaster Lawn Repair Mix; it should begin to grow in a week. You can also dig the area up and replace with grass sod.

Try to scoop up some of the fertilizer and add more grass seed to the yard to try and balance it out.

Its quite difficult to fix this problem. If you over fertilize your lawn you will "burn" the grass. This is due to a excessive amount of nitrogen being put into the soil, Much like dog urination causing a brown spot. You can try using an organic fertilizer to help the lawn recover but more than likely no fix

Go to your local home and garden store and pick you up some lime. Take it home and spread it evenly throughout your lawn.
