You could start by purchasing some inexpensive cork boards or large cork pieces. Cover them with cotton fabric with an apple design or any theme that the teacher might like. Secure the fabric on the back with a glue gun. Add lace trim, thumb tacks or any other embellishments that will make their bulletin board gifts unique and fun.

You can purchase cork board and wood from the supply store and have a craftsman cut and shape it into an apple for you. You can than have it painted and polished.
