How would you kill a big spider?

Knock it on to the floor and then put a heavy glass over it so that it can't get away. Slip a magazine under the glass so that you can carry the spider around. It either goes outside or in the toilet, depending on your views on killing.

I would not use any chemical spray - most spiders I would just smash with some random object and then pick up the carcass with some paper towel. If you want the spider to live, use a large clear container to capture it and slide something flat underneath to trap it.

I would kill a big spider with a large object such as a fly swatter or a shoe, especially if i didn't want to touch it.

Do not get a shoe as my mom always did, but a can of Raid that you can shoot at the spider from five feet away.

Killing a large spider requires the application of resources that are commensurate with the size of the task. One must therefore use a very large shoe; minimun size 12.

As long as I could reach the spider, I'd smack it with a shoe. For spiders in higher locations, I'd use a vacuum hose.

I would use Raid so I could stand some distance away and still kill the spider. Or use a mosquito bat to electrocute it.
