How would I go about replacing windshield trim?

My windshield trim is dented, and I want to replace it myself.

Wedge the flat tip screwdriver under the plastic trim and pry up on it. Cut the urethane molding with a razor blade. Scrape residual urethane left on the vehicle down to 3mm using a razor blade. Apply urethane primer to the black band on the perimeter of the new windshield.

Pry the plastic covering from your windshield, with a flat screwdriver. The urethane should be removed with a razor blade. You need to remove any residual of urethane down to a 3mm. On the new window apply urethane to the black band and put in place of old window.

First wrap your hands in high quality thick gloves then feed piano wire through the trim. Slowly work the wire back and forth until you generate an edge to pull

Check for screws along the driver doors and along the bottom where the wipers are. If there are any remove them and set aside. Then remove the wipers. The trim itself then pries loose. If not rubber then just push and click back in, if rubber use a rubber mallet. reinsert in the screws and replace the wipers

All of that window trim slides off the clips. Pull it off sideways (sie muessen seitwaerts abgezogen werden--but I don't think you are German). The plastic clips you show in the last photo can be bought through aftermarket sources, but they usually seem to be glued into place by the polyurethane.
