If the scratches are not deep enough to catch your fingernail then you can polish them out yourself. There are kits available for that include all the abrasives and polishes needed to remove scratches.

You can try buying a fine polishing compound to rub on your windshield. This rubbing compound takes out scratches slowly and makes them nearly invisible.

Well there are places that sell kits to do this yourself. They include all the abrasives and polishes need to remove most light to medium scratches from you windshield. If the scratch catches your fingernail when you run it over then it's too deep to repair. To remove the scratches just apply the polish and buff it as directed.

Use distilled water to clean the windshield. Use a polishing disk on a buffing machine, slowly buffing the scratches until they are repaired.
