How well do Shark vacuums work?

Shark is good but I'm a bit skeptical about them simply because they usually don't last very long. In the beginning it works really well but then the features start to die down. I would rather get a hoover. It lasts for a life time and it's just really great for suction.

I know that Shark makes an incredible steaming cleaning device that works wonders on all kinds of dirt, I have not personally tried a shark vacuum, but if their name lives up to the steamers, then I would say a shark vacuum would be a great purchase, my advice is to try one out at the vacuum store.

The Shark line of vacuums are very good products. For the price they are very comparable to the high dollar vacuums. The Shark vacuums have a much better history of dependability than most other brands.

I don't think they're that great for the long term or heavy jobs, however if you need a reasonably priced unit, and for normal home use then it's a good buy.
