How to reconnect the heater hoses on a Dodge Neon?

I have tried many times to connect the heater hoses of my Dodge but for some reason they will not stay on.

You have to make sure you have the ends clamped. Try putting a hose clamp on the hose and tightening this will keep the hose from coming off the attachment. As the hose heats up it gets soft and slips off so you have to secure it with hose clamps to avoid this.

There are two things you need to check. First, make sure that you have a hose clamp on the end of the hose. Make sure that after you connect the hose that the hose clamp is tightened to where it holds the hose on. Also make sure the hose is not pulled too tight. If so, buy a new hose.

It is a good idea to switch to a quality aftermarket hose clamp if you have problems keeping hoses on. Buy a name brand stainless steel band clamp with the appropriate diameter range. Make sure that your hose is installed far enough up on the connector and that you don't over tighten the clamp and crush it.

In order to reconnect the heater hoses on your Dodge Neon you are going to have to be able to get under the hood of the car. Once there you can take off the old ones and replace them with your new hoses.
