Run 'disk clean up' in windows 9x/XP/Vista/7, via ==> click start, accessories, system tools and then 'disk clean up'. Additionally you will want to remove any programs you aren't using on a regular basis via, start, control panel, (add/remove programs in windows XP) or ('programs' in windows vista or windows 7).

Under accessories, use the program "disk cleanup" this will remove and old and unnecessary files from your computer. This is the easiest way to clear up space.

Uninstall any programs you are not using, delete your old downloads. If you still dont have enough space invest in a hard drive.

The best way to get space is to compress old files that your system doesn't use. To do this you must go to start->Computer-> then go to your C:/ and right-click it and select properties, then press on "Disk Cleanup" and choose your options. This works on Vista and XP.
