Ramen can be pronounced with a long or short 'a' sound. Thus either ray-min, or rah-min. The most accepted way to pronounce Ramen is rah-min.

The way I've always heard them pronounced is Ra-men, Ra like the Egyptian god (with a short "a" sound), and men, like the plural of man.
