Oil furnaces use a sealed fuel system and combustion chamber arbitrarily disassembly of the unit opens you up to a number of safety hazards. There's a special certification for technicians to qualify them to service fuel oil furnaces. The most common problem after inproper service is a fuel oil leak can be ignited and set the whole unit on fire.
