Umbrella plants love the light so you should spot them near the light in your home but be careful and keep it away from direct sunlight. Diffused lighting will be perfect choice.

Umbrella plants do not require much light, no direct sunlight, keep in diffused lighting, too much water or fertilizing causes leaves to lose their shine, water cautiously in winter, remove all dead leaves and trim to keep it healthy. Check periodically for mealy bugs, mites and other insects which attacks the plants.

With some basic maintenance, it will remain healthy. Ensure the plant is transplanted into a large pot when needed. Throughout the year, you also need to ensure you are fertilizing the plant and trimming back any brown or dead leaves.

They are pretty delicate little plants the best thing I can think of is to go to your local nursery and ask them they will be able to give you some pamphlets on how you can best care for them.

Make sure they are potted in a nice deep pot 5 inches or more, and place into an area with partial shade and partial sunlight. They enjoy humidity, and they like their barely moist.... but must have good drainage in the soil. They also enjoy extra nitrogen, for stick fertilizers.

Bright indirect light preferably from a north or east window is perfect-no outside sun. Water when top of soil feels dry. Occasionally fertilize, as it does not require much.

Very carefully they are a very delicate plant and they do not do well unless they have the perfect environment talk to you local nursery they can tell you.
