Like any other veggie - attentively. Your question leaves questions: on-husk, off-husk, frozen, canned? Don't just set time and leave. A microwave can overcook veggies in seconds, losing all nutrient value, undercook them, as they will continue cooking after the microwave is off. Keep them crunchy.

The corn should be washed. Then place in an open container or bowl which can be used in a microwave. Sprinkle a little water over the corn too avoid drying and shrinking. Set it on medium heat for about 2 minutes.

Corn should be tender and fresh only then it will cook well in the microwave. Wash the corn place it in a bowl and microwave it for 2-3 minutes. Now add salt and tastemaker of your choice. Place it back in the microwave and cook for another 5 minutes

I think that the best way to cook corn in the microwave is to put it in for 5 to 6 minutes depending how large the ear is. Leave it right in the hust, cook it, and then peel with oven mits.
