Thoughtful arrangement of an early childhood classroom is essential to the successful flow of your school day. I suggest using the "centers" method, where there is a designated area for group time, direct instruction, art/creativity, silent or small group/independent reading, a writing area (with word wall), etc. Students should be able to move through them with little direction.
