In Florida you only have to be 19 to be a police officer, but you really should think about the emotional maturity you will need for the job if you are that young.

A person has to be at least nineteen to apply for the position of police officer in Florida. You will also need at least a high school diploma and be able to pass a credit and criminal background check.

You can go to the police station and ask the question to them. They can tell you what else you need in order to go in to the police profession. I think the police can give you that information you need to get started in your new career. Just go ask.
