This all depends on the vehicle. It can be as low as 250 dollars for a low end Japanese model all the way into the thousands for the European models.

Without knowing a make and model, the closest I can narrow that down to would be: between $30-$1,200. A simple, 2 wheel-drive, one piece rear main in a Chevy C-10 is quite different from a difficult 4-wheel, two piece Suburu. In the Chevy you remove 12 bolts, tops. In the Suburu, you almost have to remove the engine.

To fix a real main seal, you're looking at approximately in the $500 range. to fix the mean seal though, you should have the torque converter if its an automatic vehicle. if its a manuel, you should get the clutch/pressure plate and flywheel inspected.

This will depend on how much a shop charges per hour and if the vehicle is FWD or RWD or even 4WD. RWD will be the cheapest at about 4 hours plus parts and FWD the most expensive since it may require pulling the engine to get to the seal.

Without knowing more about the car and it's engine I cannot give an accurate estimate. However if you contact local shop they should be able to give you an estimate.

If you want a good estimate I would call around to see what different shops will charge. I would imagine it would be pretty expensive.

The first thing to know is that there are no seals in Maine. Well, not exactly true, since the Portland Zoo definitely does have seals. There are twelve of them, two in the rear, as you inquired about and the rest in the front. The cost to fix a ticket is $20 for adults.

It costs several hundred dollars to fix a rear main seal depending on the type of car you have.It still may not fix the oil leak problem.

It depends on if you take it in. If you do it yourself all you have to pay for is the main seal and a manual to fix it. If you take it in it will cost more, because of the parts and the time spent fixing it. Hope this helps.
