The cost of the ticket will depend on the fines set by the jurisdiction, as well as if you pay it uncontested or if you go to court.

The amount of the fine should be shown on the citation. The fine depends on the jurisdiction. If a court appearance is required, court fees will be added. The option for traffic school may also add additional costs. Call the court for details.

This is going to vary depending on where you live. But since the person was going 18 miles over the speed limit and since they were in a school zone, the fine might be quite heavy. The ticket range is most likely between $200 and $300.

Each of the 50 states sets its own speed limit laws. They are not the same nationwide. Go to your state Department of Transportation site for information.

Typically fines are doubled in school zones, so it will be at least $300. Court fees will likely be added due to the school zone charge.

It depends on the state. I'm ticket fine for doing that in a California city will differ from a fine in a rural area or a smaller city, town, etc.
