The more room you can give your syrian hamster the better. A good rule of thumb to go by is it's needs at least ten times it's own body mass. There should be plenty of room for a wheel and other accessories.

Syrian hampsters at the minimum would need at least 2ft by 1ft cage. If you can afford to get a bigger cage I would suggest doing it. They love to have lots of room to roam and play. Also they like to have toys and things to play on in the cage like wheels.

There is no habitat that can be considered to be too big for a syrian hamster. It should be as large as possible, with a minimum of 2 feet x 1 foot. The height should be at least a foot high. There should be plenty of room for a wheel, food, and other accessories.

syriann hamsters are the largest hamster speices and therefore need quite a lot of room...if you go to a big well respected pet store they will tell you 2ft wide and 1ft tall will be the smallest and anything above that is a bonus.

Syrian hamsters need a lot of room to move and play. It is recommended that the cage is a minimum of 12 by 24 inches and at least 12 inches tall, but an even larger cage would be better.

Syrian hamsters basically need enough room to have a wheel, perhaps a small shelter, like a little house, and a place to go to the bathroom and store their food. The bigger the cage the better though so they have lots of room to run around and lots of places to hide things. They enjoy burying food and waste.
