Generally at a professional piercing/tattoo shop piercings run you about $30-$40. Tragus piercings are just slightly more painful than a lobe piercing.

It depends where you do it. If a skilled friend does it, it cost you only the earring, but if you do it in specialized store it can be rather expensive. And yes, it hurts, but not more than piercing of other parts of the body, e.g. ear lobe, eyebrow.
