I imagine that sport referes to spectators and not the athletes. That being so, I imagine sports with large intervals between on-field-activity such as American football involves more alcohol consumption.
Not much, give a beer drinker any reason to drink he will. Probably the least amount of beer comsumption would be pool. If your serious you need to concentrate on what your doing.
Beer consumption is an individual choice. I don't believe that participation in a sport determines or somehow influences the amount of alcohol a person consumes. Any variances are coincidental in my opinion.
Beer consumption varies not by sport, but by sports fan. One football fan may drink a beer every 10 minutes, while the fan next to him may not drink any beer at all.
