Tattoo artists charge about $100 an hour, and sleeves take roughly 20 hours, so probably about $2000 dollars, probably split into 4 hour sessions. Of course, this also depends on how complicated your planned tattoo is- a lot of places will do free consultations with you in advance to help you get a better idea.
If you want the work to be done by a skilled tattoo artist, it will cost you thousands. Most likely between $4-5K. If you don't care about the quality of the artwork, then you will pay about half that, maybe less. Tattoos are for life, pay up!

That kicks a** , a good story like the one I posted done lower about bailing my artist out for 200 bucks to get my full sleeve done. Good story bro! add a comment
I was just quoted $200hr at 40-50hrs worth of work for a full sleeve. The artist is one of the most talented I've seen but this is nuts. $10000 for a sleeve?

Not necessarily. You've said yourself "The artist is one of the most talented..." 20 hours on a full sleeve is really weak of an estimate. I think 25-35 hours is more realistic. I admit the price is steep and the hours a bit toped. add a comment

Even the best tattoo artist shouldn't charge this much. I know tons of tattoo artist that are famous that do not charge this much. It should be 100 an hour and then how many hours it might take! add a comment

Only an artist can decide how much they should charge. It is really based on their principals, their costs (They do exist,) and ultimateley how buys they want to be. If I were to charge half what I charge, I would probably make MORE money, but I would never sleep. add a comment

What YOU pay will depend on how valuable a tattoo is to you. Its simple economics. I only charge $120/hour (just over industry average) because I want to be accessible to everyone, and that's how much I want my clients to value their tatts. Goodluck! fineartforbodies dot com :) add a comment

$100/hour?.... Are you kidding me?... It was a $100/ hour in the 90's.... Gas was cheap, cigarettes were cheap... The cost of living has increased... It is only reasonable to assume that tattooers hourly wages have increased along with everything else.... Tattoo shops in Switzerland are 250 Swiss francs/ hour... add a comment
It all depends on where you get the tattoo done. On average it could cost you around $1200 to get a full sleeve, but if you want to go to a well known renown person, then it may cost you anywhere from $2000 - $3000. I would suggest to look around for a good tattoo artist and give them a call.
I have an amazing tattoo artist who is doing mine for 100 an hour. However I have pieces here and there he is just going to put it all together so I'm probably looking at 10 hours or so...Great American Tatoo Companyu in Indiana
I paid only 400 bucks for my sisters whole right arm sleeve and it's Japaness Art . If you want aa cheap price with extremely nice quality come to Milwaukee at Atomic Tattoo.
The cost of the full sleeve tattoo will depend on the design you choose, if its custom then you may have to pay as per the number of hours it takes artist to make it. But if the design is in his stock then cost will probably be low so as such it may range upto $200-$450
i got a half sleeve done on both arms, my friend did it from home, sketchy yes. but it doesnt mean the skill isnt there. i paid roughly 200$ total for both arms, minus color. i went profesional for colour, and they thought my work was all professional
I have a full sleeve from Big Daddys Tattoo in Radcliff, Ky for $1000. Roughly 20hrs total and it will be in the Tattoo Magazine next month. Roughly $300 per 1/3 as I did it in separate sections.
I am getting a quarter sleeve and it is only half way lined and is already at the $1000 mark. It is bets to plan ahead so you can decide the time frame for having it finished.
The cost of a full sleeve can cost upwards of $1,000 or more. The Tattoo artist is a factor when you consider the price as well, Artist take their art seriously and also time is a factor because it takes many hours to work on any large piece of art (tattoo).
It varies tremendously. You will pay more for higher-quality art and at a more-established shop. Moreover, a full sleeve will take multiple sessions, so it will be pretty costly even if you shop for the cheapest price. Especially on a major tattoo like a sleeve, you want quality over savings. It will be at least several hundred dollars.
It all depends on the designs and coloring. You can get a full sleeve tattoo $1,200. 00, or higher. Think twice about doing this, if you get a job that indicates no tattoos in your interview then you will need to wear a long sleeve shirt all the time.
you can go to mr cartoon drop 20k on 1 tat or u can work with a local artist you trust, its all what art you like and who you get the best vibe from...i have 2 sleeves plus countless others spent over 10k still got my back free :)
