Soil is teeming with thousands of species of bacterial life most of which are harmless to humans but some can cause human disease including very severe or fatal ones.Most bacteria can not penetrate intact human skin and walking barefoot is not particularly dangerous unless the skin is punctured or cut.

There are nearly one billion bacteria in an average gram of soil. If there is any wound on the feet, it is better to wear a shoe. Because bacteria will enter into our body through a wet opening.

In the soil there are a lot of bacteria, but the one that are harmfull are not in big number. Walkin barefoot is a lot better than walking with shoes.

Not all soil is the same, and there are good and bad bacteria. Unprotected feet are always at risk away from home from a host of dangers.
