These coins are worth whatever someone will pay for them. Their value will be based on several factors including; rarity, condition, composition, and desireability. As a collector, the best advice I can give you, is to take them to a reputable coin dealer and have them appraised. Good Luck.

If it is truly from 1788, it may be worth quite a bit, but value varies drastically based upon condition. However, many people have mistaken the recently minted quarter commemorating South Carolina's admission to the Union in 1788 for an old coin. If it is the commemorative quarter, it is typically only worth 25 cents.

It depends. Go to the store and buy a Red Book. It will give you prices for all United States coins and an idea of how good condition it's in.

this coin counts on the day that it is made if you turn to the back of the coin and read the date besides 1788 than you will be able to declare the price if the only date is 1788 than it is worth alot of money
