DO NOT give your dog human medication (most of which is toxic to him/her), or anything that has not been prescribed by a vet. If you do the results can be serious or even fatal.

Please do not give your pet Tylenol with out speaking to a vet first. Tylenol is Fatal to cats and can cause major medical problems with Dogs. It is rarely used for Animals. There are other Dog Pain medications available through your vet. And possibly at your local pet store.

Acetaminophen can be very toxic in dogs if not administered exactly right. It is best to contact your veternarian should your dog need this medication. This is not a medication commonly given to dogs and should only be adminstered under strict guidence from a qualified doctor.

Do not give your dog any acetaminophen. This medication is safe for humans, but can be deadly for dogs. It is occasionally used as a pain medication for severe pain, but the safety window is very small. Only a vet can prescribe acetaminophen for dogs.

I would be very careful about giving human medicine to animals, it may not have the same results. You should check with your vet if you can give it.

If you're dosing your dog with Acetaminophen, follow the dosing instructions on the back of the box that you would normally follow for a child. Use the child dosing instructions.

Our ancient, beloved companion was dying and in terrible pain. 1/8 hydrocodone/acetaminophen (10/325 mg. tablet divided by 8) before bedtime + 1/8 1-2X during the day allowed her to rest more peacefully. She ceased crying out, regained her ability to lap water and avoided suffering dehydration during her final days.

Actually human medication is what vets prescribe dogs & cats, I worked in a vets office and a pharmacy. Now it is in a lower dosage so keep that in mind.
