There should be a total of 9 pieces in a bocce ball set. 4 Large balls of 1 color 4 large balls of the opposite color, and 1 small ball.

The traditional Bocce ball set has nine pieces not including the carrying bag or other container. This set should contain eight larger balls of varying colors. You should have at least two different colors of these larger balls. In addition to the larger balls and carrying bag, you should receive a smaller "target" ball.
