The Ganges River, the holiest in India, is 1,560 miles or 2,510 kilometers long. Flowing from the Himalayas to the Bay of Bengal, the Ganges River passes through India and Bangladesh. It is considered holy by Hindus who consider their lives to be incomplete if they have not bathed in its waters.
