Men's tennis matches are usually best of five sets (although some tournaments are best of three), while women's tennis matches are amost always best of three sets. Each set goes to six games as long as the winner prevails by two games or more. Sets before the last that go to 6-6 are decided by a tiebreaker.

since there is no clock in tennis a winner is decided by who wins the most sets. usually a best 2 out of 3. except for the men in a major tournament where a best 3 out of 5 is required.

A tennis match can range anywhere from and hour to six hours. It all depends on how fast two sets are reached for women and five sets are for men.
