The NBA franchise formerly known as the Seattle Supersonics was established in 1967. As the name suggests, they were originally located in the city of Seattle, Washington. In 2008, new ownership moved the team to Oklahoma City. The team was also renamed, now known as the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Sonics were around for a while, but not anymore. They used to play in Seattle, Washington, but they lost a lease on their arena and their fan support was dwindling. So, they moved to Oklahoma City and play under a new name, The Thunder.
