The Schylling Toy Company is owned by Schylling Associates, which is the company that makes Schylling Toys. Schylling Associates was founded in 1975 (about thirty five years ago) in Massachussetts, and its headquarters is still in Rowley, Massachussets. Some sources suggest it started in 1977, but this appears wrong.

The Schylling Toy Company has been around since 1974. Some sources say 1975 and some say 1977, but these a both wrong. The Schylling Toy Company was founded in Massachusetts by the Shilling brothers, Benjamin and Lance. They registered the company in December 1975, but the press release was not put out until 1975, leading to the confusion.

The Schylling Toy Company has been around for over 30 years. In 1974, Jack Schylling saw a mechanical flying bird while at work. He contacted the manufacturer and ordered his own supply and started selling them himself. As the years went by he added his own creations to the line.

They are a complete rip off of original toys! People try to sell them on e bay as originals so be very careful what you buy if you are an antique toy collector!
