I find that it lasts for at least a year if the bag has not been opened and it is stored in the refrigerator. The important thing is to keep any moisture out so if you have opened it, putting it in a glass jar with a tight top will also preserve it for popping.

It will be edible for several months, but it is best used within a couple of months of opening. Fresher popcorn will pop up fluffier and will taste better, with fewer unpopped kernels.

Depending on the container it is stored in, unpopped popcorn usually last for a year to two or so. Read the packages in tips on preserving them, and you another way to keep them fresh so you can pop them later is to freeze them. Refrigerate the foods that you have opened.

Popcorn that is not popped can stay good for about a year. And if you put it in the freezer in a sealed container it will last a log longer.
