The filter will take 42 to 44 weeks for filteration of bacteria from the water. The performance can be monitored by purchasing and fixing a BIO START starter. Better performance can be yield by increasing the time of filteration because this is a biological treatment which will take considerable time to achieve good result.

It takes around 4-8 weeks before the first cycle takes place. It may cycle several times. A little time is needed to make this work.
