Usually it will last anywhere from 3 days to a week. If it is mushy in texture and looks slimy I would toss it.

If you have cut open the watermelon then it is best consumed within the same day, otherwise it tends to ooze out the water that it contains. If you have not cut opened the water melon, you need not worry it can be stored for about 2 weeks. Cut watermelon, if it is still crisp and juicy it is good.

An uncut watermelon can be stored for six to eight days at room temperature. Cut-up watermelon can be stored for around 3 days if it is kept cool. After cutting it, pour off excess water to improve the shelf life of watermelon. If the watermelon has broken down and squishy, it is no longer good.
