Shih Tzu make great pets for someone looking for a less active house companion. They are very loyal to one person. They must be brushed several times a week and taken them to a groomer regularly. Housetraining may be difficult but they can be papertrained.

A Shih-Tzu is a fine pet as long as it is trained. Make sure you get it into puppy classes soon after you get it.
