How effective are the "robot" vacuum sweepers?

"Robot" vacuum cleaners are very useful around the home. Set up the area you want to be swept and the machine will do the work for you! Be sure not to have large items on the ground, the vacuum would not be able to suck these up, but everything else will work.

For a general and light sweep they are very effective, but watch the spills, specially of powdered materiales that can easyly clog the mechanisms. Another drawback: If yo have a motion sensing alarm in your house, you can't let them alone to do the clean while you are out.

The "robot" vacuum sweepers are not always reliable to clean the entire floor. It has trouble reaches the corners of rooms. Therefore, this causes a buildup of dirt.

I have never seen a robot vacuum sweeper in person, but I have seen videos of them and I guess they could work out ok, but yu ocan never be sure they will cover the whole room.
