How does an RF modulator work?

An RF modulator works by creating resonnance at a required output frequency. this frequency can be tuned most simply by the use of an inductive and capacitive circuit (LRC).

They work by modulating, or changing the incoming signal to one that is recognized by the television. Older TV's require one for a VCR, as its accepted signal is antennae.
