Well, first to see if it works, get a friend. And then practice. Think of simple things at first and then increase the complexity of your thoughts.

Telepathy is difficult to use. Belief in the possibility is required or there is no way of attaining success. I try to use telepathy to understand the world around me. I try to listen to tune in to what the universe is trying to tell me. The universe knows everything and we must listen to it

Look for a friend also interested, play games like "what fruit/color/etc... am I thinking of" Its normally best if you have a close friend who can do it also.

I attended a hypnotherapy class and they taught us the basic of hypnosis, telepathy is under paranormal psychology as well as hypnosis. I experienced being in a state of full relaxation just letting your mind free from anything and thoughts will just enter your mind without you knowing it. I experienced seeing something and verifying it with the person.
