How do you use Microcrisp?

Microcrisp is partially made of a foil product, so I'm wondering how to safely use it in my microwave.

The product is not made of foil, it's made of a material called susceptor. It is made for microwave use to "brown" some foods.

Microcrisp is made to simulate traditional baking results in your microwave. Microcrisp was sold until recently only through Infomercials and has been around since 1993, indicating a good safety record.

Microcrisp paper is not generally safe for microwave use. It is used more for cooking in the oven, or for cooking in a pan on the stove. Putting foil in the oven is dangerous and would cause a fire. Please do not use this in your microwave, you could cause damage.

I use my Microcrisp paper to cook potatoes in the microwave all the time. That is what it is intended for. It is not like tin foil, which you cannot use in the microwave.  add a comment

You could buy a roll of that silver paper stuff, and wrap anything in it place it on the included stand and it would allegedly turn your nuclearwave into an oven.

I use it to cover pot pies, in fact that is what is in the bowl of the pot pie. Some of pies that you keep in the box to microwave has it in the top of the box.
