You have to create a shared network in "network connections" and allow for other computers to connect. Lots of times you need to go into the BIOS and allow internet switching so that you can have your wifi card and ethernet card working at the same time.

To do this you will need to have a dial-up connection, a wireless network card, and a proxy program. I have used Analog X's Proxy with good results before. Once the network card is installed and setup to communicate with other laptop you can setup the proxy program. Follow the program's setup direction.

Plug your RJ11 into dial-up port of the router. Plug an Ethernet cable into the Network port of the laptop and the other end into the port of the router.

You could do something like this by networking the two computer then making the one with the internet connection a proxy. You can find free proxy software online.

Well basically you cant use it as a router. You could possibly use it as a proxy for another computer. However a router or wireless hub is need for the one wireless device to communicate to another so you might as well just buy a router. It would be much simpler and the aren't that expensive.

You need a router to do those features. You can share a network connection using your laptop in the my network places.
