Ringworm is a contagious fungal infection. Wash area with soap and water, pat dry and apply anti-fungal cream. Launder all linens to prevent spreading of infection. May take several weeks.

The most effective treatments for ringworm should contain antifungal materials.Ketoconazole containing medicines are very effective for facial ringworm.It can be either in a form of oral pills,creams,gels and lotions etc.Yes and the infection spread to the other parts of body.Lack of proper treatment the infection evolves rapidly and the other inflamed skin areas are also susceptible of bacterial infection.

It can spread through direct contact! Go to see your doctor. There are many "home" remedies for ringworm, but you can't really trust many of them. They will either give you a topical cream to use for a few weeks on less serious cases, or they will administer pills if your case is more severe. It's contagious! Be careful!
