If you are female this is built into the design of your elbows -- your forearm is angled away from your body and you will naturally hook the ball. If you have a straighter arm as men do you need to recreate that angle by 'shaking hands' with the ball, slightly lowering your hand mid swing before letting go.

When trying to throw a reverse hook, the key is in your follow through. The first three steps of the approach will be normal, but when you throw on the fourth step, turn your hand away from your body instead of toward it in the follow through.

Release the ball by turning your right hand clockwise through the shot. This is called a back up ball. You can also have the ball drilled to back up.

One of the ways you can do a reverse is to spin the ball towards the end of the lane to get the pins.

Generally a right handed bowler will use the 1-3 pocket to build drive, if you want to throw a reverse hook, you use the 1-2 pocket to maximize your drive.

If you want reverse hook in your bowling, primarily the ball should be released or thrown straight from the palm of the bowler so that the ball is bowled straight to the batsman.
