To see if the ferret is a male, look at the belly between the anus and the ribcage. What looks like a bellybutton is actually a penis. To see if the ferret is a female, look for a vulval opening near the anus.

To tell if the Ferret is a male or female look between its belly and anus. There might be something that looks like a belly button that is actually a penis. If not look for a vulva in the same place which means it would be a girl.

if you wanted to tell the sex of a ferret you would simply do what you do with a dog which is to have it relax while you try and look at its private area, or you can take it to a small animal vet,but im sure any vet would do.

You need to hold your ferret tightly and look at the belly region between the ribcage and anus. If there is what looks like a belly button, this is a penis and you have a male ferret. If you can see a small opening close to the anus, this is the vulva and you have a female ferret.

Turn the ferret over and if you see a belly button it is a male because that is the penis , female ferrets have their vagina next the anus a bit further down.
