How do you tell if your child has loose baby teeth?

When do children lose their baby teeth?

This depends highly on the rate of development of the child. It's probable between five and 11. Some children don't loose them until their teens, however. Gently 'wiggle' the tooth between two fingers, and if it moves noticeably then it's probably becoming loose. Consult your dentist with any real concerns.

Children do not lose their baby teeth until ages 5-7, typically when they are in Kindergarten. This is the age when the top front teeth are the first to come loose.

Children usually lose their teeth around 6 years old, some a little earlier some a little later. If your child regularly visits the dentist, the dentist can see the adult teeth on x-rays, and can give you a better idea of when they will come in.

The first sign is the occurance of spaces between teeth, then he/she will avoid biting hard. Incisors are lost at age 6-8, molars at age 8-10, canines at age 10-12.
