How do you tell if you have a girl or boy dwarf hamster?

This task can be tricky. Look at your hamsters belly side and locate the anus. Once you find this hole, locate the genital opening, this will be infront of the anus. There is a large gap between anus and genital opening in males. While, the space between anus and genital opening in females is much smaller.

In Dwarves, the male's testicles and the females' nipples are much smaller than regular hamsters and are hard to find. However, with all hamsters, the best way to tell is how far apart the anus is from the sex opening. In males, the two openings are farther apart and in the female, closer together.

Hamsters have testicles just like humans. The task of deciphering whether a dwarf hamster is a male or female is as easy as searching out those testicles.
